1979 Jeep CJ7 Repair Question

1979 Jeep CJ7 Backfires through carb wont accelerate idles
MY CJ5 idles fine and starts fine but when you give it gas
fast it backfires through the carb and when taking off it boggs down if you press the gas slowly it does fine in neutral whats wrong

Had the same problem. It was a bad vacuum advance hose that goes to the distributor. Replaced and retimed the engine and no more problems.
