i have a 1994 jeep cherokee sport inline 6 4.0 with 167000 miles on it . during the day time when i am not using the lights, and press the brake pedal, all of the lights inside and outside all come on and at night when the lights are on , the brake lights will not go off. i have had the light (pull) switch changed, as well as the combination switch (turn signal switch) on the steering column and i have had the rear brakes replaced. i have checked all of the bulbs, the fuses, i have disconnected the brake switch on the pedal and nothing works. what else can i check?

My best offer here is try jiggling the main wire harness that don't work. You need to bring it in-it needs an expert electrician to troubshoot this problem

Check the brake switch with the use of a test light-one wire connector to it should have power not both-if both has power adjust the switch if it continues replace the brake switch.

Good Luck
