Engine Performance problem
2000 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

My jeep cherokee has decided to not start. When I crank on the starter, it turns over just fine, but will not fire. After 2 or 3 tries, a message pops up on the odometer screen saying "NO BUS". The engine was rebuilt a year ago, with no starting problems since. I haven't taken it to the repair shop yet, as I am hoping to figure this one out on my own. If I strike out, I'll take it in.

Is your fuel guage and ammeter working or is that off as well?

If so its common that the crank shaft position sensor is fualty. Its located on the driver side of the engine up past the bell housing of trans. Remove it if it removes the problems minus the no start its work a replacement
