I have a feeling I have a fuel pump problem. Its very hard starting but after several attempts the truck will start. There will be no loss in power when driving. The car sits for long periods of time but I asked a friend to start the truck once a week. The problem is still there. I put chemicals in the gas so it does not age. Do you have any ideas what could be the probem.

Sounds like the vehicle is bleeding off the fuel pressure try priming the pump before starting.

Turn the key forward and leave on on postion for 5 secs then turn off, repeat this five times, does it fire up better? If so its bleeding off pressure.

Perform a injector leak test and a fuel pressure regulator leak test.

They tell me that when I purchase the complete sending unit (Fuel Pump) which come with the filter, pump and also the presser regulator. So I guess that should do the trick.
Thank you for your help.
