1999 Jeep Cherokee engine wants to run wide open

I just had to remove the intake and exhuast off of a straight 6. To replace some freeze plugs. It s all back together, however when you start it it wants to run wide open.

If you mean wide open as in wide open throttle.

I would check the TPS voltage at closed and WOT throttle then from closed to open go steady and watch the voltage, shoudl steadily climb.
