1996 Jeep Cherokee Engine is hesitant when fully accelerate

1996 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 75000 miles
Hi i have a 1996 jeep cherokee with the 4.0 stright six. for the most part it runs and drives reall y good. But when the engine gets to operating temp and you fullu accerlerate from a dead stop it hesitates for about a 1sec and then its fine it does its job but when the engine is cold it doesnt do this at all. The truck has had full tune ups has been maintained very well and no trouble codes show up i am kinda stumped on this one anyone out there have any ideas tahnks!!!
