I have been fighting my driver side manual window, I cannot get it to rol up, I can hear it skip gears and not catch. It goes down fine, I cannot get to it easily by taking off the inner door trim. Can I grind the rivets and fixe the gearing? Is it possible to replace it? I can't find a door, either, I thought that would be the best route. Thanks! ---Mike

Is your manual roller good condition?U dont think u only need roller?Im sure you can grind the rivets down then pop out them out carefully to change the the gears.I just installed a new window motor to my bros 98 camaro and I had to grind the rivets down in order to get all the interior gears n stuff out and I just put it back together with small nuts bolts wich I baught at home depot, so yes you can do that. By the way thats the only way u can remove the window motor on a newer camaro, have to remove it all including window. Big mess. Go for it just dont over grind it that u mess up the panel. No need to buy another door. Just patience and time but thats what u will have to do for sure. Good luck
