Car is rarely driven (obvious from miles). I ususally keep a trickle on the batter, but it got mistakenly unplugged. So recharged battery and reset windows.
Car will start but runs rough and dies after about 5 seconds. Have tried all throttle settings.
Read post about reset idle, but car won't run long enough. Car has been sitting for about six months. 5

My first thought, based on your description, is crankshaft position sensor. The idle reset will pretty much take care of itself, but gets its signal from the CPS. If the engine starts but won't rev up, the CPS is where I'd start. The only way you can test the CPS is either plugging the ECM into a diagnontic unit, or changing it.
