Noises problem
1997 Jaguar XK8 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 100000 miles
Car runs great until accelerated fast and then a high pitched whine can be heard. It still runs fine but the noise is troubling as it is a clue something is not right but I don’t know what it could be.

I'm suspecting the noise is from the transmission. Not much you can do other than have a dealer replace the oil and hope the noise goes away. Otherwise there is an internal fault.
