Replaceing front inner lower a frame bushings Jag XJ8

I have been told that you do not need to have a spring compression tool to replace the front inner lower suspension bushes on a 2000 Jaguar xj8 Vanden plas. Is this correct ? Please advise as I have worked on all of the earlier jag front suspensions but they all needed a special spring compression tool to change the bushings.Could you lead me through the complete removal / replacement proceedure.

if you are taking the front lower control arm off of the lower suspension, then yes you need a special spring compressor to load the spring. hope this helps
