I Bought A 85 XJ6 That Has HAd The Fuel Lines Crossed Or Altered Somehow. It Runs Fine For A While Then The Air Pump Starts To Squeel And It Starts To Get Fuel Starved. When I Go To The Tanks And Open The Caps They Are Under Pressure. Alot Of Pressure. NOT A Vacume Like You Would Expect With MAybe A Cloged Vent Line. Wow What A Pain. Any Ideas Where To Start?
Thanks Drew

The air pump is designed to just move air, not create pressure. In trying to create "pressure" could make it squeal. "Somehow" the output line the air pump must have gotten connected to the vapor recovery line from the tank. I would guess somewhere in the area of the vapor canister. This will be a good one. Let me know what you find. We'll both learn something here.
