IDLE SPEED
The following adjustments must be performed with engine at normal operating temperature, air filter in good condition and ignition timing and valve clearance adjusted to specifications. Check that throttle linkage is operating properly, and that return springs are secure and operating.
Start engine and run for 2-3 minutes. Turn idle speed adjusting screw to obtain proper specification. Idle speed screw is located on air distribution block on XJ6.
