1984 Jaguar XJ6 engine only idles, wont go above 1000rpm

Hello,

car will start, run and hold idle at 800 rpm+-,
but will not go above 1000+-.

if you step on gas, it will stumble to 1000rpm, but will resume idle when off the pedal.

Return line on FPR is pinched, otherwise car dies.

New plugs, cap, and rotor.

Start by removing the clamp/pinch from fuel return line and check fuel pressure is holding. Sounds like you may have a bad FPR or fuel pump and the system is not holding the correct pressure.
