I was caught in a flash flood. My car stalled and would not start. I was pushed to higher ground. The water did not enter the interior. The water rose quickly to the bottom of my car before I was pushed to higher ground.
My car was towed to a dealership and I am awaiting the news. Can you give me some ideas of what I might be looking at as far as repairs? I am terrified of the outcome......I am new to the area and do not know anytthing about this dealership service.

Hi there,

this may just be a simple case of wet electrics and when dried out it should be ok, but if the water entered the induction there may be deeper problems, i would be asking the dealer if water had entered into the air cleaner, this they can tell in a few seconds, ring and ask then re post the response.

Dealership told me my engine was full of water. They want $500 to drain engine and see if it will work. This flooding occurred on Sat....dealership just received car from towing yesterday, Wednesday. Is is of any significance that my car sat for so long with water in the engine?
