2004 Jaguar X-Type Alternator Overcharging
Electrical problem
2004 Jaguar X-Type 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 109546 miles
I asked a while ago about the X type jaguars having the problem of overcharging. I was given the answer that the problem is in the voltage regulator. Please note this is more than one vehicle, four different cars with the same problem of high battery consumption. Specifically on the X type jaguar. The dealer for the vehicle insists thats what all the jaguars are like ( they give out 15 volts alternator output) Whe we suggest opening up the alternators, the answer is it will affect the waranty on the vehicle. Is there any other problem besides an faulty regulator?
