Transmission problem
2002 Jaguar S-Type 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive 150K miles

THE TRANAMISSION CONTROL STICK IN THE VEHICLE WILL, FROM TIME TO TIME, BE DIFFICULT TO MOVE FROM PARK TO ANY OTHER POSITION.

THIS PROBLEM DOES NOT OCCUR EVERY TIME THE VEHCILE IS PARKED, BUT HAPPENS ABOUT
1-2 TIMES A WEEK.

Issue

Some 2000-02 MY S-TYPE vehicles may exhibit difficulties in disengaging the selector lever from Park, particularly when the vehicle is parked on an incline. This can occur due to excess wear of the control lever profile. A new transmission manual control lever has been released to address this concern.
