Transmission problem
2002 Jaguar S-Type V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have an intermittent problem. When I start the vehicle, there are times that I can can not get it out of park into reverse. It is throwing a trouble code of P1572 (Brake Pedal Switch Circuit). Would this switch cause this to occur or am I looking at a linkage issue?
