Interior problem
2001 Jaguar S-Type Front Wheel Drive Automatic 109500 miles

I had this leak repaired last summer, the dealer said the drain hose gets clogged, this car sits most of the time with a cover over it. Again this year the same leak, the water from rain stands in the base around the top of the inside light. Would you please let me know if this is a common problem with this car. It never leaked for 8 years and all of a sudden it seems to be a continuous problem. I can't understand why something is clogging up hoses, when the car is covered always.

It is not too common but does happen. The tubes could be plugged do to spiders or other bugs building homes in them. As the car gets older, the seal around the glass becomes less elastic and allows more water by it. Be sure the glass still sits within its opening flush (you can test around it using a thick piece of paper). Check it with the roof open and pour some water into the channels beneath the glass where the mechanism is. You might have to position car on an incline in several directions to determine which drain is plugged. There are 4, one in each corner. The water should drain out through the tubes onto the ground.
