Sometimes the engine on my S Type Jag will run unevenly at idle. Also it will lose power when I accelerate until I take my foot off the throttle and reapplying revs will normalise things for a few seconds but then the problem comes back. No engine warning light comes on. It usually happens when the weather is damp or wet. But not always. Could this be a problem with the engine management system in that there is possibly something wrong with the air flow and or sensors?

Hi Bobbm2, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation

Clean out the EGR valve and also the MAF sensor with an electronic cleaner CRC and test the throttle position sensor
