2000 Jaguar S-Type Brake and Tail Lights

Our brake and tail lights come on but they are very dim. We replaced the gray piece that the bulbs are in but it did not do any good. Any suggestions?

Check for a blown fuse in the boot fuse box. I don't remember what fuse though. Look for any that have to do with the tailights. Also an incorrect bulb in any socket can cause all sorts of weird issues.
