2000 Other Jaguar Models J gate shift lever
Transmission problem
2000 Other Jaguar Models V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 78,000 miles
This XK8 when shifted from auto to manual goes into transmission fault mode & drives slow & rough when shifted while car is on driving orparked. Car resets if turned off. Car runs fine when put into either manual or auto mode,only when changed from auto to manual or visa versa. What do you think might be wrong & how much to fix?

have the vehicle plugged into a diagnostic computer to check for fault codes stored !
