Engine Performance problem
2002 Isuzu Trooper 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 85000 miles
I just had a brand new fuel pump put into my 2002 trooper. Now, my car pms rev crazy when I'm going uphill and the cart sputters and loses power like it is going to stall. If I stop, and restart the car it will be fine 4 a little, but act up again on an incline. I had a BRAND NEW fuel pump put in a week ago. When I drove out of the shop it did this, I drove it right back, they said it was low on gas(it had a little less than 1/4 tank, but no fuel light on) they put a couple gallons in, and it drove fine for @ 100 mi. Then Fri. it did the sputter and die thing again when going uphill. I drove it back to the shop, and they said the fuel return line needed to be replaced/refitted, and they put a new fuel filter it. I got the car back today, it was o.k for @ 20 miles, and now it's doing the same thing again!!!! it did something similar when I had the intake gaskets replaced @ 2 yrs. ago. Could they be bad again?It seems kind of funny that My car did not have this problem until they replaced the pump!!! The only problem it had before was that it was leaking fuel (thus the pump replacement), other than leaking fuel it drove fine. No engine problems whatsoever. WHAT DID THEY DO TO MY CAR!!! PLEASE HELP!!!
