I'm dealing with the same problem right now. I took it to the dealership and they diagnosed it with a bad electromagnetic coil. $900 to fix. I said no thanks. Took it to my buddy he said $550. Great I'll take it. Well now that he has it in the shop he said there is two bad sensors in it as well. The cost: $285 each from the dealership. He thinks they were just setting me up with the original $900. He's going to try to find some used ones and fix me up. If not, I believe I am screwed.

My advice to you is to get rid of this vehicle as soon as possible. They are going to stop making Isuzus all together this year and parts are going to be nearly impossible to find at a decent price in the near future.

If it would help, I do have a pdf of the service manual I can send you. If you plan on having a garage fix it, they'll probably need it. Let me know.

Hey jadubbz - could you send me the service manual? I have the same issue with my Axiom and would like to get it fixed before I dump the car.

Thanks
