2001 Isuzu Rodeo Question timing
Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Isuzu Rodeo Question 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 105020 miles
I was driving and the idler pulley for the timing belt broke and the engine stopped. I bought a new pulley and set the intake and exhuast sprockets straight up like as the repair manual suggested, I also turned the crankshaft to full compression on piston no.1 and i cannot get the vehicle to start. Any suggestions???

You probably have a bunch of bent valves now. That's what happens when they jump timing while running.
