1996 Isuzu Rodeo Question 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

The u/s (I think up-shift) lite is always on. And when that prob. started another prob. started. When I accelerate (with headlights on) the brake & battery warning lites come on & the battery power drops down like the alternator isnt charging it anymore, like it's just running off the battery (stored) power. If the heater blower is on, it shuts off. If the headlights are on those problems don't happen. I am resubmitting this question because I forgot to tell you we have had to change the alternator twice in the last 2 years (your answer was to ck the output of the alternator. So whatever is messed up it is also causing our alternator to burn out fast. Thank you!

Hi there,

I would start with checking the alternator output voltage, checking all earths and battery cable connections, start here.
