I have 1993 isuzu rodeo 2.6l 2wd. How does the rear brake drums come off? They feel like they are solid on the axles.

Hi there,

The rear drums should slid off easily, obviously there not, so a god clout with a heavy hammer may shock it loose, some times there is a lip worn on the inside of the drum and the shoes hang up on this lip, if you have a good look at the drum there may be two threaded holes, these are for bolds to be inserted and when doing them up, the drum is removed of the hub, but they have to be done at an equal rate, and don't over do it or the thread will strip out.
Remember to use safety glasses if belting the drum.
