I have an 2001 Infiniti QX4. 260,000kms. Cars runs very well, recently have a problem with the windshield washer sprayer.

It was running fine, cold weather came, now its not running at all. Two days ago it started working breifly again. Now its not working.

Is this a pump problem? I have winter washer fluid in the resevior.

I was told to check the connections, but the pump is underneath a bunch of stuff and dont want to take it all out unless I need to.

Is this a problem I can fix myself.

Also, Can you guide me to where the pump may be. I have followed the hoses, but they seems to go behind a 'firewall'? Of some sort. Would it be near the resevior?

Hello

It sounds to me like a pump, yes. They do go bad. Since you were getting fluid out then I would have to say your lines are not plugged.

Since it was intermediate I would have to say the fuse is good.

They do go bad and you can pick them up pretty cheap. Although Auto Zone or O'Reilly's probably has them, it looks like the dealer is only about $35.

I think you can do it yourself. Just take your time, see how things are sitting on each other for routing. Disconnect only the things you have too. Check the connection really well and make sure the plug is not damaged or needs cleaning.
