2001 Infiniti Q45 Engine Misfiring
Engine Performance problem
2001 Infiniti Q45 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 107000 miles
I have a 2001 Infiniti q45 that is missing real bad. I put a scanner on it and it read: Cylinder no.2 misfiring. Should I replace all the plugs with the no.2 coil, and what is a excellent plug to put in the engine? Also, how are the cylinders numbered looking in at the engine?

Misfire at cyl no.2 should lead you to check the sparkplug, compression and injector for that cylinder.
Engine misfiring can be caused by worn or fouled spark plugs, a weak spark (weak coil, bad spark plug wire), loss of compression, vacuum leaks, anything that causes an unusually lean fuel mixture (lean misfire), an EGR valve that is stuck open, dirty fuel injectors, low fuel pressure, or even bad fuel.
