Driver window working great no hesitation or noise
let it down now it will not come back up had to take panel off to push it up and use tie wraps to hold in place don't seem to be off track it moves up smoothly when I push it in place. All other windows continue to work properly. Is this just the motor gone bad or are there other things to check?
Also if it is the motor could you give me so hints about replacing it and if the window must be in a certain position when you replace the motor or if there is a calibration that must be done after motor is replaced

Hi steeleboss,

Thank you for the donation.

Symptoms indicates a faulty regulator and not the motor. If the motor is bad, you would not be able to push the door glass up. Only a faulty regulator, (broken cable) would allow the door glass to be moved up and down.

Listen for motor movement when the switch is being operated and if you have the motor humming without the door glass moving, that indicates a bad regulator.

There are no reset or special procedures required. The only thing you need to do is to move the regulator to allow access to the door glass attaching bolt via the service holes.

There is a rubber connection between motor and regulator, I repaired using a tube, two rods, and a rubber
