I have an Infiniti I30t and its been giving me the same problem for over a year now with acceleration and idling. Many of times I will have to keep my feet on the gas and the break at a stop light or when I'm stopped in traffic to keep the car from turning off. The main issue is the acceleration problem. The car has a difficult time accelerating especially when going up a hill and only seems to pickup speed when on level ground or going down a hill as momentum kicks in. I am at my whits end with this problem. I've had my mechanic diagnose the problem and from his diagonostic it was a faulty speed sensor. I replaced that I still have the same problem. He suggested that I change the fuel filter I bought a fuel filter from the dealer but it turns out the fuel filter is in the tank and does not require changing. He did another diagnostic on the we found one of the cylinders were misfiring. He found out that one of the front engine coils wasn't working (at this time the car was running very rough and the TCS/ABS light was on and wouldn't go off) I bought another front engine coil to replace the one that wasn't working and it helped a little the car doesn't run as rough but I still have the same acceleration and idling problems. Can someone please help me? My mechanic is saying its not the transmission and suggests that I should change my CAM sensor but can a faulty CAM sensor cause acceleration and idling problems?

Hi
You need to have a diagnostic scan done to find problem. Recommend dealer for that. Also has fuel pressure been checked. And what are the codes in P0xxx format.
Let me know
Thanks for donate

Thank you for the response Docfixit I really appreciate it. I checked it today and three codes came up P0306 which we can ignore because that involves the cylinder six misfire. My mechanic changed the cylinder six engine coil which I explained earlier and he probably forgot to erase that code. The other two codes were P1320 which states (Ignition signal, primary circuit intermittent) and the last one is P0732 (2nd gear function-shift solenoid electrical).

Need diagnostic scan done by a Nissan trained Tech or you will be replacing parts till you get lucky or runout of money. The test I am talking about is NOT just reading codes you interface with PCM and check every input and output component to determine what is the fault.
