2000 Infiniti I30 3 Way Catalytic Converter
2000 Infiniti I30 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 141000 miles
My check engine light came on some time ago. I took my car to the shop and found out that my 3-way catalytic converter has failed and that I need to get it replaced. After some research, I found out my car has more than one catalytic converter. (supposedly it has a front catalytic converter and a rear catalytic converter ????). My question is, Which one is the 3-way catalytic converter? Do I need the front converter or the rear converter replaced? Or does the term 3-way catalytic converter refer to both catalytic converters as a whole?
