Starting up my car

1997 Infiniti I30 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 168,00 miles
When I try to start up my car I have to pump the gas and some times it works and sometimes it takes 5 minutes to start up. I replaced the started the fuel pump, and wondering what else could it be.

Did you replace the fuel filter along with the fuel pump?
