1997 Infiniti I30 No heat in car
Engine Cooling problem
1997 Infiniti I30 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 170000 miles
The air inside the car does not get warm/hot. The temperature needle hovers just above the C (cold). Sometimes with the car just idling, the needle will move up, but when i turn on the heat, or put the car in motion without the heat being turned on, the needle goes back down. My check engine light is not on so I'm clueless. Someone told me it may be a temperature sensor or a temperature switch, or a thermostat. With the car idling, I felt the hose by the thermostat and it wasn't warm, but the other hose from the radiator was warm.
What could be the problem, and is there a way to test for it?
