The clutch works fine. BUT now it engages down low and the pedal sticks near the bottom and sits there for 3-20+ seconds before coming back up. I can still drive the car and shift normally without slipping. I can use my foot and bring the clutch back up faster.

While my driving is not affected, seeing the clutch on the floor after I've shifted and released it is disturbing.

Oh, and the infiniti mechanics looked at it and had no idea what caused it-they said it still engaged fined and if I wanted to fix the clutch, they could always just changed it all out for 2500.00 :(

This seems like the clutch master cylinder will need replacement.

I had the exact same problem on my 2005 G35 6MT Sedan and just took it in to dealer. They told me the master cylinder needs replacing and it is covered under warranty. I have 36k miles. Do not let them fool you into replacing the clutch and paying for it--this is not a maintenance issue but a malfunction.
