2003 Infiniti G35 Shifting rough
Transmission problem
2003 Infiniti G35 6 cyl Automatic 92000 miles
my automatic transmission began shifting roughly from 1 to 2 and 2 to 3rd gears on yesterday....right after I had some repair work done to replace the engine o ring for a leak. The Infiniti techs are saying that i may need a transmission replacement, but they did not find any metal shavings inside the transmission pan. Now they suggest that I do a transmission flush. Please help me. What do you think is causing the jerks during the automatic transmission shifting?

Harsh shifting are usually caused by sticking valves or solenoids and incorrect signals so diagnostics have to be carried out to determine the cause. It could also be due to loose wire connections, improper grounds.
Did this happen before engine repairs?
What repair were carried out on the engine?
Is there any Malfunction Indicator Lamp showing?
