I purchase a 1986 chevy s10 tahoe. the truck ran fine intill today when i pulled out my drive way the truck stalled. I started the truck again and when i apply presure and.rev.the engine it stays on but when i let off the gas the truck stalls out? I do not know were to start as i am not trying to put alot of money in this truck as i was going to sell but.have to fix this issue first? any suggestions?

2.8 V6,
when i apply presure to excelerate it kinda fills like the truck is running out of gas and when i release my foot it just stalls out. i just bought the truck for 750$ and was trying to flip it for a small profit so i am not trying to put too much excess $$ into the truck. Im hoping its an easy fix???

have fuel pressure checked as well as the cat converter back pressure.

i believe it is carb. it is computer controlled and may need an overhaul

If it is the carburator how much does that usually run?

i overhaul them for 350.

new ones are about 500-600
