One of the original "turn and pull to open" connectors is broken and the GM dealer says I need a complete heater hose assembly. I think this is ridiculous because the problem will be resolved if I can get one of those "inserts" that you show in your video "heater hose replacement 1993-2002 chevy camaro" video (3 minute mark in video). Where can I purchase one of those inserts?

You can try gm parts direct then if you like they will deliver to your house in a couple of days. Or try to clamp it. Although it may be a dealer part and you'll need a hose for it.
