Transmission does not shift in to gear
Transmission problem
2001 Hyundai Tiburon 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 110000 miles
recently the car had some issues when the shifter was put in reverse ( the car jerked and shook while moving in reverse) - a part was replaced and the problem went away (about $270 for the repair). there was never a problem in 1, 2, or D. last night the car was driving fine (in Drive) then it just stopped and the engine just just reved up the RPMs. I put the car in reverse and nothing. the car will lock in "Park"; however now when you start the car and move the shifter to any position it does not engage in any gear. Has anyone else experienced this or have a clue what the problem may be? The tranny fluid is still fine and was flushed the last ime it was in the shop. Thanks in advance for any advice.
