Release latch for bottom of rear seat

2004 Hyundai Santa Fe 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 70000 miles
The pull that controls the relesae latch for the bottom back seat is now tucked under the bottom back seat. I cannot get it out. I tried needle nose pliers and a hook made from a coat hanger to grab the pull which I can feel with my fingers. I could start dismantling the bottom seat from the car frame.
Is there a way ti do as few bolts as necessary to unstick the pull.?
