My windshield wipers are not working properly

during the last ice storm I was trying to clean off my windshield and the wipers were stuck to shield. I turned on the wipers and chipped away all the snow and ice, then my right side wipers started to work overlapping the left one, but the left ones did not. I finally got left wiper to work but now it is not working correctly. It keeps coming off the shield and into the drivers window. They are not in sync with each other.
What do I do? Please help we are getting a storm tomorrow.

Hello
Thanks for the donation.

It sounds like you may have stripped out the teeth on one of the wiper gears. This will cause the wiper arm to jump off of track and get out of sync with the other. You can try removing the wiper arm that is out of sync and replacing it back into correct position when they are both off and idle at the bottom of the windshield. If it gets out of sync again then you will need to replace the gear.

Hope this helps.

Fuse 7, 31 and 16 feed the wiper control module for the rear wiper.

As far as the seat, did you check for power to the switch?
