Air conditioning question
Hi there. I have a 2000 Hyundai Elantra wagon. I faithfully keep up with the fluids, oil changes, service, etc.
During a 4-hour trip this weekend, after the first 45 minutes or so, the air conditioning stopped working. I checked the anti-freeze and the level was fine. It simply stopped blowing cold air and blew warm air instead. So I stopped even trying to use it after awhile and just drove with the windows rolled down for 3 hours.
This morning I was going to take it in to my service dude, but the AC kicked in and seemed to be working fine. What would be the cause of this? I suspect I should get it checked before my next 4-hour trip, anyhow. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Best,
Lena
