1998 Other Hyundai Models possible high revs
Transmission problem
1998 Other Hyundai Models Automatic 65000 miles
I have just brought a hyundai coupe automatic R reg 65000 ish miles on clock. It seems to drive ok at low speeds but when it reachs 60+mph the rev counter goes up to about 5000. Is this normal for an automatic or is it that my gears not working as they should...

No, it shouldn't be that high. At 60, it should be around 1500 RPM's. Are you sure it is in drive and not 2nd gear?
