Engine Mechanical problem
2007 Hyundai Getz 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 112000 miles

I was driving my car after about an hour, heard a noise and saw a lot of white smoke coming from out the bonnett. There was a definate noise and i thought i had driven over something. I stopped the car and opened the bonet and there was a lot of oil that was at the bottom of the engine. It looked like oil had sprayed all over the bottom half near the top of the sump. The smoke looked like it was coming from being sprayed over the engine exhaust. I stopped and called a breakdown. The guy said the engine was seized. Is this true what could have happened.?
