My key operated car alarm ran out of energy. I had locked the car, and had to get something out of it. When I used my key pad it would not disactivate the alarm. So, when I used my keys to gain access to the vehicle the alarm went off. I was told by a service professional a way to turn the alarm off and start the car. I think he said to turn the key in the ignition once than wait and repeat two other times. However, when I did this it did not turn off the alarm, and would not start the engine. I called the dealership and they were not availiabe. I since, then have called other dealerships, and Wal-Mart Auto. They are all out at this time. I really need to have use of my car. What can I do to deactivate the alarm and start my car? Any help would be greatly appreciated. My phone number is 703-953-4134 if you have any questions, or if you could walk me through the process. Thanks, Leanna

From what I remember you were told most of the story.

I'm doing this from memory and will try to look it up in the book.

You get in.
Shut the door.
Put the key in the ignition and turn it to ON.
Leave it there for 30 seconds, and then turn the key to start the car.
