2003 Hyundai Elantra gas tank

Engine Performance problem
2003 Hyundai Elantra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 49K miles

today I had a 1/4 tank of gas. Tried three station and my car would only let me put about a dollar so so in before the pump would shut off. Did some looking on the internet, so something about the float

fuel level sending unit has nothing to do with this issue. there is pressure building up in the fuel tank when your refueling that should not be building up. this could be caused by a failed fuel pressure valve or collapsed fuel filler tube.
