I just replaced the belt on my A/C Compressor and now the engine stalls when the A/C is on. I though it might have been too tight but when I loosened it, it started to screech and didn't stop the stalling problem. Help please

Hello,

The most likely cause is the A/C Compressor is locked up.

If you have someone that can assist have them start vehicle with a/c off while you are looking at the compressor have them turn the a/c on. Does the Pulley freeze up? If so then your a/c compressor needs to be replaced.

Does the Compressor make any noise before it stalls out?

Sounds like the bearings inside the compressor are going. And since the vehicle runs fine when a/c is off the compressor is at fault.
