Hi there,

This could just be a sticky lash adjuster, try adding a good quality engine flush and change the oil and filter, this may do the job for you.

Hi there,

If that is the case the lash adjuster will have to be replaced.

Is that an expensive fix? And of you don't how long before it ruins the engine?

Not to sure if you can do it with out removing the head. I don't have access to the data base just yet to find out. It wont do much harm in the short term but you will run the risk of burning a vale at some stage, I would get it looked at sooner rather than later.

Depending on engine fitted, should be on block below No 1 spark plug or rear of block above bell housing, may also be on a sticker under bonnet or on rego label if it has the engine No included.
