Engine Performance problem
2001 Hyundai Accent 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 75000 miles

Hi,

My radiator and head gasket have kicked the bucket. My mechanic has offered to repair them for $1700, which is a price a little to high for me. The mechanic has offered me $400 to buy the car and he would repair it for his daughter. This leads me to believe that I am about to be ripped off. Luckily My brother-in-law is a mechanic and might be able to do the repairs himself, the question though is it best to sell it or repair it?
