Check engine light dos not go off after starting the car

The check engine light dos not go off after starting the car, instead it blinks during operation. Vehicle does not seem to have any other problems during operation. What could be possible causes?

Hello,

A flashing check engine light typically could mean an emergency and immediate repair might be required. By driving it with the flashing light you could chance damaging your engine/transmission or any other major component.

In order to know why the light is flashing you will have to scan it for the codes. The codes can point you to the issue why its flashing. The port for the diagnostics is located under the driver side dash.
