Our 2000 Hyndai Accent has been having problems with the acceleration. It will only get up to 40 mph and at times only 20 mph. It spudders like it has been filled with watery gas. We fill that this is not the case since we have put a new fuel filter and have put heat to take out the moisture. We have also put in a new fuel pump.

Hi pjiles,

New filter and pump will not remove the water from the fuel tank if it has been contaminated. You need to check if water is still present in the fuel delivered to the fuel rails and injector.

You might need to clean the injectors too.
Is the CEL showing?
